LAYTON — A Davis County man already charged with secretly taking pictures of a woman at a Layton Target has now been arrested for investigation of additional crimes.

Tyson Shawn Young, 32, of Clearfield, was arrested and charged in June with voyeurism. Police were called to a Target store, 815 W. Antelope Drive, on a report of “an individual taking pictures underneath a female’s skirt,” according to a police affidavit. The incident was recorded on the store’s surveillance camera. “Tyson was located and admitted to filming underneath the adult female’s skirt because he was curious. Tyson admitted to similar activity at the Layton neighborhood Walmart.”

Young’s cellphone was seized and sent to the crime lab for examination.

On Thursday, Young was arrested for investigation of additional crimes including two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, voyeurism against a child, and three counts of voyeurism by electronic equipment.

“Numerous videos were located where Tyson had been secretly recording women at a grocery store. Tyson would place his phone in an inconspicuous position on his body and then record women as they walked by,” the affidavit states.

Videos of an 11-year-old girl were also found on the phone, according to the affidavit.

“Tyson has posed a substantial risk to the public as he secretly records females’ private areas of their bodies as they walk past him,” the affidavit states.
