SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Jason Kreis scored his MLS record 107th goal to cap off a second-half rally for Real Salt Lake and keep its playoff hopes alive with a 3-2 victory over FC Dallas on Saturday night.

The loss denied FC Dallas a chance to clinch a spot in the playoffs for the second straight game.

Kreis pushed the ball in the net while falling backward to put Real Salt Lake up 3-2 in the 72rd minute. It broke a 10-game scoreless streak for the veteran forward.

Carlos Ruiz gave FC Dallas a 1-0 lead in the 5th minute, scoring off a cross from midfielder Ronnie O'Brien.

Ruiz struck again near the end of the half during stoppage time, sliding past Eddie Pope to put FC Dallas up 2-1. Ruiz's pair of first-half goals broke an 11-game scoreless streak for the forward.

Real Salt Lake evened it 1-1 in the 14th minute on a goal from midfielder Andy Williams.

Chris Klein tied the game in the 62nd minute when he took a pass from Williams while running parallel with the backline and sent the ball inside the far post.
