OGDEN, Utah (AP) -- Steve Panos had 12 points, and Daviin Davis and Kellen McCoy added 11 points apiece as the Weber State Wildcats defeated Montana Tech 77-62 Saturday night.
Montana Tech, an NAIA school, kept things close early against the Division I Wildcats thanks to some sharp shooting behind the 3-point line. But Weber State (2-3) went on a 12-3 run to go up 29-18 midway through the first half. The Orediggers (4-4) never got closer than five points the rest of the way.
Montana Tech, which counted the game as an exhibition, was led by Steven Thomas, who scored 15 points.
Davis had four blocked shots, including three on Oredigger 3-point attempts. Davis also electrified the crowd with a pair of thunderous dunks in the second half.
