SAN DIEGO, Dec 02, 2004 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Ballparks across the country may be adding a somewhat healthier item to the standard fare of pretzels, peanuts and beer: the organic hot dog.
Petco Park in San Diego and Busch Stadium in St. Louis plan a trial run of organic hot dog and bratwurst sales next season, USA Today reported.
"There are some people who will taste organic food -- for the first time -- at the ballpark," said Delaware North Companies Sportservice President Rick Abramson, whose company manages concessions at 21 major U.S. sports facilities, adding that the organic dogs may cost up to $1 more than the conventional fare.
