Utah Will Host 2010 NCAA Gymnastics Regionals

(Press release) - The University of Utah has been selected as a site for the 2010 NCAA Women's Gymnastics Regional Championships, the NCAA office has announced. Utah will host the NCAA North Central Region Championship on April 10, 2010 in the Huntsman Center. The other five schools selected to host in 2010 were Kentucky (Central), Penn State (Northeast), Missouri (South Central), West Virginia (Southeast) and UCLA (West).

Utah, which has drawn the best attendance at all 11 regionals it has hosted, was last selected as a regional site in 2005. Utah's years as a regional host include a 1976 AIAW regional and 10 NCAA regionals (1984, 1986, 1989, 1990, 1992, 1996, 1997, 2001, 2003 and 2005). Utah has won its regional meet 25 times and been runner-up eight times.
