Sydney (dpa) - An Australian painter was counting the cost Saturday after two of his works fell from the roof rack of his car in the centre of Sydney and were most likely taken away by their lucky finder.
Aboriginal artist Gordon Syron told police he had forgotten to tie down the paintings before driving off. They weren't there when he got home.
Police searched Syron's route, but could find no trace of artworks that had been valued at a combined 1.5 million Australian dollars (1.1 million US dollars).
