SALT LAKE CITY — A man was transported to a hospital on Thursday after he was stabbed by an acquaintance, police said.

The incident occurred at 1366 S. Major Street after the two men got into an argument and one stabbed the other, police said.

The man who allegedly stabbed the other fled the scene, but police said officers believe they know who he is and have a good description of him.

Police are not releasing a description of the man and said the incident is under investigation.

The man transported to a hospital suffered injuries authorities didn't believe were life threatening.
