DRAPER — A woman in her mid-20s was seriously injured in a mountain bike crash on Tuesday.

The woman suffered head injuries after crashing near the Suncrest area, Draper Fire Chief Clint Smith said. It wasn’t immediately known if she wore a helmet.

A medical helicopter was initially called to get the woman off of the trail, but crews were able to get to her, Smith said.

She was transported to a Lehi hospital and later transferred to a trauma center, Smith confirmed.
