THE HOUSE OF BROKEN DREAMS — I'm not saying $100 isn't a solid amount of cash; I'd happily take it off your hands if you think otherwise. But do you remember how much it seemed like when you were 9?
As a 9-year-old, $100 basically meant you'd made it in life. You never had to work again. Just put that bad boy in the bank, let the interest build and retire at Disneyland.
This dad offered his 9-year-old daughter a crisp Benjamin if she could copy exactly what he did.
This is a big deal, people. If dad loses, he's out a wheelbarrow worth of Taco Tuesday tacos and his daughter is straight-up set for life. Forget Disneyland, get ready Disney World!
You can see the excitement on the daughter's face because she is sure she's got this. The dad, on the other hand, seems cool and collected. I couldn't believe it. I mean, I'm a dad too and I'm not sure I'm ready to give my 9-year-old daughter a chance to steal a hundy from me.
Then I remembered that I am a dad, and we dads don't jump into wagers like this with our offspring unless we know it's a sure thing. I knew this dad had something up his sleeve, and I couldn't wait to see it.
I'm not going to spoil it for you here, you're going to have to watch because it may be the best twist ending since "The Sixth Sense."
Way to go, dad. There is something magical about breaking your kids' hearts in the most innocent and sweetest way possible.
