THE KITCHEN — Right now, during a global epidemic, the world is full of roommates, families, and safely distanced neighborhoods that are finding unique ways to stay cheerful and bond with each other.
We know this because the internet is now full of fun, funny and encouraging videos.
The streets of Italy are full of music, a Utah couple is sharing a funny parody, and an adorable Scottish granny is making us all feel better. Sometimes the helpers in a crisis are the ones that make us feel a little lighter.
Ali Hoffman and her parents know this firsthand as evidenced in their delightful, stay-at-home kitchen lip-sync. The video starts with Ali as the song "Hold My Hand" by Jess Glyne begins to play and Ali begins her all-in lip-sync performance. She’s killing it, but it’s the backup singer that we’re really living for in this video.
When Ali’s dad rolls into the picture, being the epitome of the internet’s stereotype of a dad, that’s when we know we’re in for a special treat. Even mom makes an appearance, making family bonding time complete.
This video won’t change your life or amaze you to the moon and back. But what it will do is put a grin on your face and make your world a little brighter, if only for a few moments. Oh, and it will also get the refrain "Woah-oh, oh, oh oh," stuck in your head, even if you only watch the first 12 seconds.
