ROY — Officials with the National Transportation Safety Board are looking for audio or video of a fatal plane crash from last week, according to Roy police.
Any residents who live near Roy Junior High School are asked to check home surveillance systems that could have possibly recorded Wednesday's crash that killed the 64-year-old pilot David Goode.
Goode’s small plane clipped the roof of a residential building before crashing into a parking lot near 1817 W. 5075 South, and no other injuries were reported in the incident. Some witnesses said they saw Goode struggling to straighten out the plane while in the air.
NTSB officials investigating the cause of the crash are looking for any footage or audio that shows the plane going down at about 3:10-3:11 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15.
Anyone with relevant footage is asked to direct message Roy City police on their Facebook page with their name, phone number and address.
