UNDATED (AP) — It will be a clash of the ACC's titans on Saturday when No. 13 Louisville visits No. 3 Duke for their only scheduled meeting of the season. The teams are the two highest-ranked in the league and share the top spot in the standings. The Cardinals have struggled against Top 25 teams so far, losing two of three games, while the Blue Devils have won both of their Top 25 matchups. Duke will also be looking to bounce back after a road loss at Clemson this week.

BOSTON (AP) — Dana Evans hit seven 3-pointers and finished with 27 points, leading No. 5 Louisville to an 81-70 victory over Boston College for its ninth straight victory. Yacine Diop, Jazmine Jones and Kylee Shook each added 12 points for the Cardinals. Makayla Dickens led the Eagles with 20 points.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Elissa Cunane scored 20 points and grabbed 10 rebounds, and No. 9 North Carolina State beat No. 13 Florida State 68-51. Freshman guard Jakia Brown-Turner made three first-half 3-pointers and scored 11 of her 18 points before halftime as the Wolfpack (16-1, 5-1 ACC) got out to a 36-21 lead. Kayla Jones and Aislinn Konig each scored 10 points for N.C. State. Kiah Gillespie scored 22 for Florida State (15-3, 4-3), but the Seminoles struggled against NC State’s well-orchestrated defense and lost for the third time in their last five games. Nausia Woolfolk added 12 points for Florida State.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson backup quarterback Chase Brice says he is transferring. Brice had backed up Kelly Bryant and Trevor Lawrence the past two seasons. Brice is a 6-foot-2, 230-pound redshirt sophomore who is best known for rallying the Tigers to a 27-23 victory over Syracuse in 2018 after Lawrence was hurt in the second quarter. Brice finishes his time at Clemson with 1,023 yards passing and nine touchdowns. He plans to graduate in May, meaning he can play immediately at his next school.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) — Syracuse hired Sterlin Gilbert as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach. The university announced the hire on Thursday. Gilbert is a familiar face. He previously worked with Orange head coach Dino Babers for three seasons, serving in the same role at Eastern Illinois of the Championship Subdivision for two seasons. He followed Babers to Bowling Green in 2014. Syracuse is coming off a 5-7 season. Gilbert takes over for Mike Lynch.

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. (AP) — New Missouri State football coach Bobby Petrino says he knew he wouldn't stay retired. Petrino made the comment at his introductory news conference Thursday. Petrino's string of embarrassing foibles at previous coaching stops made him a high-risk proposition at the big schools. He says he is glad to have a job again, even if it's at one of the bottom programs in the second tier of college football. Petrino says one of the things he can teach players is that they always have obstacles to overcome.
