KSL Pick'em: Aggie fan wins $500, Utes best overall fan base

SALT LAKE CITY — KSL College Football Pick'em wrapped up its fifth season on Monday as No. 1 LSU defeated the defending champion No. 3 Clemson Tigers 42-25. The contest had its most participants for the fifth straight season, with 9,959 users vying for the coveted top spot in the overall leaderboard.

Utah State fan Roy Whiting finished first overall, ending with a 63-18 record and 2,437 points. He earns a $500 Visa gift card courtesy of Peak Orthopaedics, which provides comprehensive joint care for the entire body from expert orthopaedic and sports medicine physicians.

BYU fan Shane Heath had the same record as Whiting and finished second overall with 2,418 points, while Utah fan Brent Christensen finished third with 2,408 points, though his record was better by three games at 66-15. Heath and Christensen will receive a $250 and $115 Visa gift cards, respectively, also courtesy of Peak Orthopaedics.

The bowl season's first, second and third place winners will get $100, $70 and $40 Visa gift cards, respectively. See KSL Pick'em for the tiebreaker rules.

Utah fans ended the season with the best overall fan base, ending with an average of 22.6 points. Utah State fans finished second with an average of 22.4 points, and BYU third at 22.0 points.
