WASHINGTON (AP) — The House Intelligence Committee has released a sweeping impeachment report that asserts President Donald Trump misused his office to pressure Ukraine into opening investigations that he believed would help his reelection bid. The 300-page report released Tuesday accuses Trump of “significant misconduct" and says his attempts to stonewall the investigation are unprecedented. Committee Chairman Adam Schiff said Trump's push on Ukraine was the “act of a president unbound." Republicans in a rebuttal to the report said Democrats have no evidence of impeachable offenses by Trump

WASHINGTON (AP) — A new report by the House Intelligence Committee reveals contact between President Donald Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani and the top Republican on the intelligence panel, California congressman Devin Nunes. The report released Tuesday includes phone records obtained from AT&T and Verizon that show Giuliani also engaged in frequent contact with the White House and with Lev Parnas, a Giuliani associate who is under indictment on charges of using foreign money to make illegal campaign contributions. Giuliani also was in close contact with a journalist as part of an effort to oust the former U.S. ambassador to Ukraine.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department has charged eight people with conspiring to conceal the source of more than $3.5 million in 2016 campaign donations to Hillary Clinton. Those charged include a prominent political donor to both Clinton and Donald Trump and a Lebanese-American businessman who was a witness in Robert Mueller’s investigation. The 53-count indictment unsealed Tuesday in federal court in Washington details efforts by Ahmad “Andy” Khawaja and George Nader to conceal the true source of the millions of dollars in campaign contributions, which prosecutors allege were made to gain influence with high-level political figures.

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Tommy Fisher’s ambitious plan to win a border wall contract included what could be the next best thing to making a pitch directly to President Donald Trump _ talking to him through his favorite cable TV channel, Fox News. And it just may have worked. Fisher’s North Dakota-based firm was awarded a $400 million contract this week to build 31 miles of wall in Arizona after he made numerous appearances on Fox, repeating a Trumpian boast that he could build the wall faster, better and cheaper than anyone else.

BEIJING (AP) — Asian stock markets have followed Wall Street lower after President Donald Trump cast doubt over the potential for a trade deal with China this year. Benchmarks in Shanghai, Tokyo, Hong Kong and Southeast Asia all retreated. Wall Street tumbled for a third day after Trump said he has "no deadline" for a trade deal and doesn’t mind waiting until after next year’s U.S. presidential election to make one.
