BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — LSU coach Ed Orgeron says he expects "a war" when his second-ranked Tigers host No. 9 Auburn in the latest chapter of an old rivalry that has had its share of recent drama. The past three meetings have come down to the final seconds. LSU enters this meeting with a new offense averaging a whipping 50.1 points per game. But Auburn counters with a highly regarded defense that has not allowed an opponent to score more than 24 points.
LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP) — Kentucky coach Mark Stoops should expect a hard-fought game against Missouri based on the teams' recent history. The Wildcats have won the last four meetings against the Tigers, with the past two decided by six points or less. The Wildcats look to extend their streak, but Stoops expects Mizzou to make every yard and point hard to come by.
UNDATED (AP) — Texas A&M is coming off an important road win and preparing for a visit from Mississippi State on Saturday in the first of three straight home games. The Aggies need the home wins before wrapping up the season with back-to-back road games against top-10 opponents. The Aggies shook off a loss to top-ranked Alabama by beating Mississippi 24-17 last week to give them a boost of confidence. The Bulldogs have dropped three in a row capped by a 36-13 loss to No. 2 LSU.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) — Florida and Georgia have agreed to keep their annual Southeastern Conference rivalry in Jacksonville through 2023. They'll also get a significant payout bump. Each school will get $1 million each in 2020 and 2021. That's up from $250,000. The schools have an option to extend the agreement two more years, through 2025. The "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party" has been played in Jacksonville nearly every year since 1933.
