MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — N'Kosi Perry threw for a touchdown on the opening drive and ran for another with 2:31 remaining, and Miami knocked off No. 20 Virginia 17-9. Deejay Dallas caught the touchdown pass for Miami (3-3, 1-2 Atlantic Coast Conference), plus rushed for 63 yards on 13 carries. The win kept the Hurricanes from falling to 0-3 in conference play _ any conference _ for what would have been the first time in school history.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — The Clemson board of trustees has given approval for up to $70 million in improvements to football stadium. The renovations will include a larger video board, along with new sound and lighting systems. There will also be additional seats in the lower bowl of the stadium and two new premium seating areas in the West Zone.

UNDATED (AP) — No. 7 Florida is following up a victory over previously unbeaten Auburn by traveling to No. 5 LSU. The Florida-LSU showdown is one of several high-profile games this week. UNDATED (AP) — Virginia Tech is looking to continue its resurgence when they play host to Rhode Island. The Hokies are coming off a 42-35 victory at Miami that marked the start of Hendon Hooker's time as the Virginia Tech quarterback. Rhode Island has won only once in five games and has won just once in 18 games against FBS-level competition in its history.
