SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — The state of Washington has killed a member of the Grouse Flats wolf pack, which has repeatedly preyed on cattle in the southeastern corner of the state. The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife said Friday that a wolf believed to be the breeding female of the pack was killed on Sept. 25.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A judge says there's enough evidence to have a trial for a man charged with hiding his mother's body for months while he continued to collect her benefits. The Idaho Press reports Magistrate Judge Daniel Steckel said on Wednesday that 65-year-old William "Randy" Rhoton should stand trial on charges including failing to report a death and grand theft by deception.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — The Idaho Attorney General’s office says longtime Idaho political figure Martin “Marty” Peterson was arrested Thursday on suspicion of sexual exploitation of a minor. Peterson is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday and has not yet entered a plea. It was not immediately known if he had obtained an attorney.
BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Canyon County has settled a lawsuit brought by a man who said the county illegally refused to let him post bond for weeks because officials were suspicious about his citizenship status. Senobio Padilla-Arredondo’s civil rights lawsuit was dismissed by a federal judge on Wednesday because of the settlement agreement. The terms of the settlement were not immediately released.
