SPOKANE, Wash. (AP) — Spokane County Sheriff Ozzie Knezovich has announced he will not seek re-election when his term ends in 2022.
The Spokesman-Review reports that Knezovich, 56, said Tuesday he plans to complete a master's degree so he can teach college courses. He did not say whether he intends to run for another political office.
Knezovich was appointed sheriff in 2006 and has since won four elections.
