HOME DEPOT — Little girls and wearing their mom's lipstick is a tale as old as time. However, one little girl added a new twist to that tale last month when she claimed that the lipstick she wore all over her mouth was purchased from The Home Depot, which later responded to the video by sending the girl a bucket of goodies.
The viral video posted to Peter Sowell's Facebook page on Aug. 28 garnered the attention of several news outlets and has since amassed a whopping 14 million views, more than 100,000 likes and over 500,000 shares. He also posted it on his Instagram, where it received more than 30,000 views.
In the video, Sowell asks his young daughter Willa, who is donning a bold choice of red lipstick, if she did anything in the bathroom. She shakes her head no before acknowledging how red lipstick, or as she says, "yippick," got on her mouth.
"I was putting some yippick on," she explains to her father.

When her dad asks the little makeup artist if she asked anyone for permission to use the lipstick, she simply replies, "I asked myself," with a sly smile. Makes sense to me.
When her dad pushes further and asks whose lipstick she used, she tells him it's hers and that she even bought it herself, from everyone's favorite store known for its cosmetic products — Home Depot, of course.
"I buyed it from Homie Depot," she explains to her dad, who erupts in laughter.

Sowell provided an update Sunday, where he shared photos of his daughter opening a gift from a Home Depot manager in Ohio. While the package didn't include lipstick, it did have some lip balm, which seemed to do the trick for Willa — for now.
