THE COUCH — How many times have you heard the term "fighting like cats and dogs"? If you're like me, you've probably heard it a lot — especially from a parent when you and a sibling were anywhere near one another.
The old adage seems to make sense because cats an dogs often don't like one another, but that's not always the case. You're probably thinking of a canine and feline you once knew or saw that got along famously.
But you've also probably seen a cat hiss at a dog and then hit it in the face about 37 times in .25 seconds while the dog growls and knocks the thing away. It's nature.
This video is a small flavor of both those scenarios.

Reggie seems like a sweet dog as he sits on the arm of the couch, places its paw around his furry feline friend, and then licks the cat in what seems to be a sweet gesture to get his buddy clean. The licking keeps going, however. Before I knew what was going to happen, I honestly had the thought, "It's almost as if Reggie thinks this cat is tasty and keeps licking it like a Tootsie Pop."
You can almost see Reggie's brain working. Then, just like all of us trying to lick our way to the center of that Tootsie Pop, Reggie loses patience. He slyly opens his mouth wide and puts the cat's head inside. Thankfully, Reggie's owner tells him not to eat the cat and Reggie slowly pulls his head back, glancing at the camera with a guilty look.
I have no doubt Reggie is a good boy, he's likely just a little curious and a little hungry.
