UNDATED (AP) — For the second time in three years, there isn't a game where ranked teams face each other, but there are still some interesting matchups as the season enters its third weekend. The last time there was an unranked weekend was Oct. 14, 2017. That might not be good news for No. 1 Clemson since it lost on the road to Syracuse 27-24. Guess where the Tigers are this week? Back at the Carrier Dome for the first time since that upset

UNDATED (AP) — Boston College coach Steve Addazio has plenty of memories of facing Les Miles when he was at Florida and the latter was the head man at LSU. Their current programs will face off on Friday night in Chestnut Hill, when the Eagles take on rebuilding Kansas. Miles' team is coming off its first loss, a home upset at the hands of Coastal Carolina.

CLEMSON, S.C. (AP) — Clemson receiver Amari Rodgers was the only person in March not worried that he would miss most if not all the football season after tearing his ACL in spring workouts. Less than six months later, Rodgers was back on the field catching passes at Clemson. Rodgers had an operation on his right knee was expected need most of 2019 before he was back in shape. But Rodgers says he pushed himself to strengthen and rehab the knee so he could get back on the field as soon as possible.

UNDATED (AP) — No. 1 Clemson visits Syracuse with a lot on the line for both teams. Clemson is trying to run the table for the second straight year and the Orange want to show their preseason ranking was valid despite a lopsided loss to Maryland

UNDATED (AP) — Three hard-hitting, entertaining games have reinvigorated the intrastate feud between Pittsburgh and No. 13 Penn State that will culminate in the 100th meeting and conclude the four-game Keystone Classic series. With a renewal not yet on the table, indefinite bragging rights are on the line.

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (AP) — Wake Forest and North Carolina officials felt Atlantic Coast Conference schools located about 80 miles apart in the same state should not go seven years without playing each other because of scheduling issues created by expansion. So they're doing something never before done in the ACC, or possibly any Power Five conference. The schools scheduled a couple of games against each other that won't count in the ACC standings. The first of these nonconference matchups is Friday night.

UNDATED (AP) — Virginia will be looking for its first 3-0 start to a season since 2005 when the No. 25 Cavaliers host Florida State. The Seminoles have struggled through two games and will be looking to make a statement in Scott Stadium. The Seminoles are averaging 38 points but needed a missed extra point by Louisiana-Monroe to escape 45-44 in overtime last weekend.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Louisville's Atlantic Coast Conference schedule will include two games each against Clemson, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Miami, Pittsburgh and defending NCAA champion Virginia. Louisville hosts Virginia on Feb. 8 before closing the regular season against the Cavaliers on March 7 in Charlottesville. Other marquee matchups include a road contest at Duke and a home game against North Carolina on Feb. 22.
