SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Salt Lake City police say a man is dead after being shot during an encounter with police officers responding to a 911 hang-up call.

The dead person's identity was not released.
Police Sgt. Keith Horrocks said witnesses were being interviewed and that any police body-cam footage that exists will be released within 10 days.
