HYRUM, Utah (AP) — Officials say a massive fire at a storage unit complex south of Logan caused millions of dollars in damage.
Investigators haven't determined what sparked the fire over the weekend at the Armor Storage in Hyrum.
Local fire Chief Kevin Maughan tells the Herald Journal in Logan that two buildings and the contents of 30 storage units, including household goods, furniture and vehicles, were destroyed.
He estimated the damage at more than $5.5 million.
The fire could be seen for miles. Hundreds of people watched from their cars along the highway or from the side of the road.
