LOS ANGELES (AP) — Kevin Kendall's one-out double in the 12th inning scored Jake Moberg with the go-ahead run and national top seed UCLA forced a deciding game in the NCAA Baseball Tourmanet's Los Angeles super regional with a 5-4 victory over Michigan. Moberg, who came on as a pinch-hitter, reached on a fielding error by pitcher Walker Cleveland to lead off the inning and scored on Kendall's double to right-center.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Ethan Small struck out eight over six innings, Dustin Skelton hit two doubles and Mississippi State beat Stanford 6-2 in the first game of the NCAA Tournament's best-of-three super regionals. Mississippi State slowly broke the game open with one run in the second, two in the third and three more in the fourth to take a 6-1 lead.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (AP) — Mississippi State pitcher Jack Eagan was taken to the hospital after receiving medical attention in the dugout during the team's game against Stanford in the NCAA Tournament's super regionals. The school said Eagan, a junior who did not play in the game, suffered a "non-athletic medical event."

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Karl Kauffman and Jeff Criswell combined on a four-hitter to help Michigan beat No. 1 national seed UCLA 3-2 in the opening game of the Los Angeles super regional. Kauffmann allowed one hit and one walk through eight innings before Criswell came on to hold off the Bruins in the ninth.

UNDATED (AP) — Michigan and Duke, two of the last teams selected for the NCAA Tournament, knocked off the top two national seeds and now both are a win away from making the College World Series for the first time in decades. Karl Kauffmann's strong outing led Michigan to a 3-2 win over No. 1 UCLA. Duke exploded for 10 runs in the eighth inning on its way to an 18-5 win over No. 2 Vanderbilt. Texas Tech and Louisville also won their super regional openers.

LOS ANGELES (AP) — United Airlines and the University of Southern California have reached a new naming rights agreement for Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum to resolve criticism that putting a corporate name on the stadium disrespects its history as a World War I monument. The pact announced Friday names the field, not the stadium. Starting in August, it will be known as United Airlines Field at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The original agreement would have renamed the stadium United Airlines Memorial Coliseum.

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (AP) — The Los Angeles Rams' eight draft picks have signed their rookie contracts. Their second-round pick, Washington safety Taylor Rapp, was the Rams' highest draft choice. Running back Darrell Henderson, cornerback David Long, offensive lineman Bobby Evans, defensive lineman Greg Gaines, offensive lineman David Edwards, safety Nick Scott and linebacker Dakota Allen also signed their contracts.
