NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Tyler Herro scored 20 points and fourth-ranked Kentucky started its quest for a fifth straight Southeastern Conference Tournament title by beating Alabama 73-55 in the quarterfinals. With a heavy contingent of Big Blue Nation on hand, the Wildcats improved to 17-2 all-time at this tournament against Alabama, and they got a measure of revenge for opening SEC play with a road loss to the Crimson Tide. Kentucky will play either No. 8 Tennessee or Mississippi State in the semifinal.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — Andrew Nembhard hit a 3-pointer with a second left, and Florida rallied from a 13-point deficit in the second half to upset ninth-ranked LSU 76-73 in the Southeastern Conference Tournament quarterfinals. The SEC regular-season champs had one last chance as Will Reese threw the ball deep to Naz Reid who couldn't catch it while defended by a pair of Gators before the buzzer. Florida now will play either No. 22 Auburn or South Carolina in the semifinals.

NEW YORK (AP) — Former Auburn assistant basketball coach Chuck Person is scheduled to plead guilty on Tuesday to a conspiracy charge in a scandal that involved bribes paid to entice young athletes to go to top schools. The change-of-plea hearing was revealed in a filing late Friday by prosecutors in Manhattan federal court. Person was scheduled to go to trial in June. He will be the fourth and final coach charged in the case to change his plea.

HOUSTON (AP) — Texas A&M basketball coach Billy Kennedy has been fired after the Aggies finished the season 14-18. Kennedy was 151-116 in eight seasons at the school after coaching Murray State for five seasons.
