PROVO — New Zealand country superstar Keith Urban will headline Provo’s Stadium of Fire event on the Fourth of July.

It will be the first time Urban has performed in Provo, Stadium of Fire representatives said in a news release. The event is part of America’s Freedom Festival, an annual patriotic celebration in Provo that includes the Stadium of Fire, a parade and other events

“We’re beyond thrilled to invite Keith Urban to Provo,” Freedom Festival executive director Paul Warner said in the release. “We’ve wanted him to come for years, and the stars finally aligned. We’re gearing up for an absolutely spectacular event on the evening of July 4th.”

The concert starts at 8 p.m. July 4 at Lavell Edwards Stadium on the BYU campus in Provo, according to the Freedom Festival website.

Urban is a four-time Grammy Award winner whose most recent album was the 2018 release “Graffiti U.”

The Stadium of Fire will also include an appearance by actor Chuck Norris, a performance by the trampoline stunt team Flippenout, as well as a military flyover, a fireworks show and other events, according to the release.

Tickets for Stadium of Fire go on sale at 10 a.m. March 19. Prices range from $35 to $250, according to the Freedom Festival website.

This will be the 39th year America’s Freedom Festival has staged the Stadium of Fire event. It is expected to attract over 40,000 spectators and will be broadcast via the American Forces Network to men and women who are serving in the U.S. military across the world.

Colorado rock band OneRepublic headlined the event in 2018.

The Freedom Festival will also include a parade and vendor market in downtown Provo over the Fourth of July weekend.
