SALT LAKE CITY — Gov. Spencer Cox has ordered all U.S. and Utah flags flown at government buildings to be flown at half-staff to honor Dolly Parton.
Country singer and humanitarian Dolly Parton died Tuesday morning. Cox made the announcement later that day, following a Presidential Proclamation, stating flags will remain at half-staff until Tuesday, Sept. 1.
In his announcement, Cox invited private citizens, businesses and other organizations in Utah to also fly their flags at half-staff to honor the singer.
