Power restored after outage affects 5,000 residents in Draper

DRAPER — A cluster of power outages affected about 5,000 residents in Draper on Wednesday, according to Rocky Mountain Power. As of 7 p.m. power had been restored for all but 68 customers.

The outage was first reported just after 2 p.m. Wednesday, according to Rocky Mountain Power’s website. RMP officials were estimating power would be restored in the area by about 9 p.m.

About 5,000 people were being affected by the outage in ZIP codes 84094, 84092, 84020 and 84070, according to RMP’s website.

The cause of the outage is under investigation, according to RMP.

Various other power outages were affecting RMP customers throughout Utah on Wednesday.
