LOGAN, Utah (AP) — A former Utah State football player accused of sexually assaulting seven women has added two high-profile consultants to his defense team.

The Herald Journal reports investigators F. Lee Bailey and Pat McKenna will help defend 25-year-old ex-linebaker Torrey Green.

Bailey was on the OJ Simpson "dream team" when he was acquitted on murder charges in 1994, though he was later disbarred in two states. McKenna is a private detective who worked on the Simpson case as well as that of Casey Anthony, a Florida mother acquitted in her daughter's death in 2011.

A spokesman for Green says the pair is working pro bono.

Green is set for trial Jan. 4 on rape, kidnapping and other charges from 2013 through 2015. He has said he is innocent.
