TOOELE, Utah (AP) -- Scott Pruett averaged 102.214 mph in qualifying Friday to put the No. 01 Chip Ganassi Racing Lexus Riley on the pole for Saturday's Grand American Rolex Sports Car Series nine-hour season finale.
Mike Rockenfeller was second at 102.124 mph in the No. 23 Alex Job Racing Porsche Crawford over the 4.486-mile road course at Miller Motorsports Park.
Series points leader JJorg Bergmeister was sixth with a lap at 101.445 mph in the No. 76 Krohn Racing Ford Riley. He is looking to wrap-up the championship Saturday, but Max Angelelli, as well as Pruett and Luis Diaz are in contention.
