SALT LAKE CITY — Coming off Utah’s South Division title, the 2019 season looks to be favorable to the Utes, following the release of its schedule Tuesday.

The season sets itself up well with only five road games in 2019, with the season starting on the road at in-state rival BYU on Thursday, Aug. 29. Utah will also have two bye weeks after the Pac-12 decided to give teams two weeks off during a 14-week regular season.

The bye weeks set themselves up well in the conference to break up the season, with the first coming on Oct. 5 (Week 6) and the second coming on Nov. 9 (Week 11). Additionally, no team will be playing more than eight consecutive games in the conference.

Utah opens its conference slate on the road against USC in the Coliseum on Friday, Sept. 20. Their remaining road games of the season will be against Oregon State on Oct. 12, Washington on Nov. 2 and Arizona on Nov. 23. The game against the Beavers comes after Utah’s first bye week, and the Washington game comes ahead of the second bye week.

Utah’s home conference schedule begins on Sept. 28 against Washington State in the program’s homecoming game. The team’s remaining home schedule features Arizona State on Oct. 19, Cal on Oct. 26, UCLA on Nov. 16 and Colorado on Nov. 30. Utah will also welcome Northern Illinois on Sept. 7 and Idaho State on Sept. 14 at home to round out its non-conference slate.

Oregon and Stanford are absent from Utah’s schedule this season, as the cross-divisional slate replaced them with Cal and Oregon State in the schedule.

Game times and early TV schedules for Utah’s 2019 schedule will be released at a later date.
