NORFOLK, Va. (AP) — B.J. Stith scored 28 points and grabbed eight rebounds and Old Dominion rolled to a 67-42 win over James Madison on Saturday night.
Stith was 12 of 16 from the field, including four 3-pointers, for the Monarchs (5-3). Ahmad Caver added 25 points and eight assists.
Old Dominion shot 45.5 percent from the field compared to 29 percent for James Madison.
The Monarchs scored first and never trailed and a Marquis Godwin 3-pointer made it 21-11 with just less than five minutes to go in the first half. The Dukes (6-4) did not score in the final six minutes and Old Dominion led 28-11 at the break.
The James Madison drought extended well into the second half while Stith scored on a 3-pointer and a layup to push the Monarchs lead to 33-13 with 15:33 to play. Later, Stith drained back-to-back 3s to make it 52-26 with 8:43 left.
Matt Lewis scored 15 points with six rebounds for the Dukes.
