MURRAY, Utah (AP) — Fire officials in Murray say a grandmother and her 7-year-old granddaughter have died in a house fire.
KSL-TV in Salt Lake City reports the blaze broke out Monday morning around 8 a.m.
Upon arriving at the scene, firefighters had difficulty reaching the second floor but eventually found the two victims dead inside.
The woman's son and daughter, who is the girl's mother, were able to escape.
They were taken to a hospital for evaluation. Their condition was not immediately known.
The victims' names have not been released.
The cause remains under investigation.
