SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The Utah Highway Patrol says a 19-year-old woman is dead after a rollover crash on Interstate 80 near Lambs Canyon junction.

They say the accident occurred before 1 a.m. Sunday.

Highway Patrol officials have identified the victim as Sofiea Maya-Flores.

They say she was driving a vehicle that crashed into a concrete barrier on the left side of the road, causing it to roll several times.

Maya-Flores suffered a fatal head injury from the roof of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Authorities say impairment and speed are being investigated as factors in the fatal crash.

An 18-year-old woman who was a passenger in the car was taken to a Salt Lake City hospital in serious condition.

Her name wasn't immediately released.
