WASILLA, Alaska — When an Alaska family woke up one morning last week and noticed their front porch was a mess, they were confused.

Their plants had been knocked to the ground, but there were no visible signs of what happened. A fresh layer of snow had recently fallen, covering up the tracks of whoever was responsible for the porch mayhem.

Fortunately, this family had a security camera watching their porch, and when they checked out the footage, they realized they had been visited in the night.

"We checked the security cameras and saw these two moose helping themselves to our plants," they wrote in the description on the video of the event.

Yesterday's Have You Seen This?

The footage shows only one of the moose, who walks right up to the home's front door and seems to be staring into the security camera while he munches on potted plants. After the moose knocks the plant to the ground, it turns around to leave.

My theory is that this moose got his days mixed up and he was just trying to do a little trick-or-treating. The people who posted the video said it happened on Oct. 29, just a few days before Halloween. I think the moose saw the family's pumpkins, figured it was Halloween and showed up to get some candy.

When he realized no one was going to answer the door, he settled for tricks instead of treats, and left soon after to go find some fun size Snickers and peanut M&M's at the moose trunk-or-treat.
