SALT LAKE CITY — Utah laid a beatdown on USC this last Saturday; the latest of a three-game outbreak where Utah has been punishing teams. You would think this would mean Utah is potentially a very special team, but some Trojans players think otherwise.

Utah recently adopted a new slogan for its program after an outburst from frustrated USC players following a 41-28 loss to the Utes. USC running back Stephen Carr told media: “We’re better (than they are).”

Linebacker Jordan Iosefa addedd: “We just messed up. … They were just a regular team.”

The Utes took those comments and ran with it by tweeting out #JustARegularTeam. The MUSS then joined in on the fun.

Utah’s players also took notice of the shots from USC and tweeted out the hashtag.

It remains to be seen how long this slogan will stick around for, but with the yearly occurrence of Utah playing USC and the implications behind the game, it likely won’t go away anytime soon.

With the rivalry heating up, it appears that Utah has gotten the better of USC on and off the field this year.
