SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say a wildfire has charred nearly 1,000 acres in Utah's Sanpete County and led to the evacuations of residents in two areas.
County Sheriff's officials say evacuations were ordered for Blackhawk Estates in Fairview and the northern Milburn area.
It's unclear how many residents that involves.
The Deseret News reports that some farmers in Fairview were setting irrigation lines to protect their fields.
Authorities say the wildfire started Monday afternoon and winds caused it to grow quickly.
The cause of the fire isn't immediately clear.
