PAYETTE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities in west-central Idaho say they're investigating after finding four dead horses in a pasture with an empty water trough.
The Payette County Sheriff's Office on Wednesday says it responded to an animal neglect call on Sunday and found the dead horses.
The sheriff's office says it determined the area was within the city limits of Payette and is coordinating its investigation with the city's police department.
The name of the owner of the horses hasn't been released.
