STARS IN THE MAKING — It's the first weekend of June, which means there are a lot of stars being made across the NBA Finals, the Stanley Cup playoffs and Major League Baseball.
Some of them also play the sport.
This weekend was no different — but perhaps the biggest star was made after Real Salt Lake's 2-0 win over Seattle, capping a run of six-straight home and three-straight overall wins that has soccer fans in Salt Lake City buzzing.
Especially one young fan.

The kid is the star
Real Salt Lake shut out Seattle 2-0 Saturday night, winning its third-straight match and tying a franchise record with the sixth-straight win at Rio Tinto Stadium.
The final also made a breakout star.
No, we’re not talking about rookie forward Corey Baird, who scored his team-high fourth goal of the season. Nor are we talking about goalkeeper Nick Rimando, who picked up his 141st clean sheet — or even Danny Acosta, who started his third-straight match on RSL’s back line.
We’re talking about Nick Dantas, the 9-year-old fan who was caught on camera celebrating like nothing else when Luis Silva's empty-net goal at the start of stoppage time sealed the win.
Silva didn’t celebrate the goal — but Nick celebrated more than enough for the both of them.

"Nick has loved soccer from the day he was born," his mom Thais Tarantini told KSL Sports. "He dances, he sings and he is one well-mannered kid."
Tarantini calls Nick her "little soccer star," and posts photos of him on social media often — sometimes of him wearing jerseys of his favorite players, like Brazil’s Neymar Jr. His favorite RSL player is forward Ricky Lopez-Espin, who has already promised him some #RSLswag, Tarantini said.
Saturday was Nick's first RSL game of the season (he usually attends several with his mom and stepdad), but he said he'll be back for more — including Wednesday's U.S. Open Cup match against Sporting Kansas City, who Nick predicts will lose by "at least, like, 21-0."
Going into Wednesday night’s U.S. Open Cup match against rival Sporting Kansas City, Real Salt Lake has moved up to third in the Western Conference with 22 points on a 7-6-1 record.
Chef Curry makes a splash
There isn't much Steph Curry can't do.
But he set another record Sunday night in Golden State's 122-103 win over Cleveland in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.
Curry set an NBA Finals record with nine 3-pointers, including the back-breaking dagger that finished off the Cavs and gave the Warriors a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven series prior to moving to Cleveland on Wednesday.
HISTORY. 😳

Without a drop
One baseball fan from Detroit made a name for himself in Milwaukee’s 5-0 win over the White Sox.
With a seat just a couple of rows down the left-field line, the Sox fan grabbed a foul ball with his bare hand — holding a cellphone and a beer in the other — before jubilantly chugging his beverage in celebration.
You have to see it to believe it.
