BOISE, Idaho (AP) — Authorities have recovered the body of a Boise man after his small plane crashed in the Boise National Forest.

The Valley County Sheriff's Office says the body of 34-year-old Nolan W. Smith was found Monday after his Cessna 182 went missing Sunday.

The Idaho Transportation Department says Smith took off from the Boise Airport on Sunday afternoon but he never reached his destination at the McCall Municipal Airport.

Searchers with support from the Civil Air Patrol located the plane in a remote mountainous area southeast of Cascade.

Authorities say Smith died in the crash and was the only person on the plane.
