CARSON, Calif. (AP) — LA Galaxy defender Rolf Feltscher is expected to be sidelined for four months after surgery on his right shoulder.
The Galaxy announced the Swiss-born Venezuelan newcomer's injury Tuesday.
The 27-year-old Feltscher was hurt during training last week. He had started seven games this season after joining the Galaxy from Spain.
Feltscher also has played professionally in Switzerland, Italy and Germany.
The injury forces another lineup shuffle for the Galaxy, who are off to a 3-4-1 start after losing their last three home games. Their next three games are on the road, beginning Saturday at Houston.
