HOUSTON (AP) — The Houston Texans have re-signed running back Alfred Blue to a one-year deal.

Blue was drafted by the Texans in the sixth round in 2014 and has 1,908 yards rushing and six touchdowns in his four-year career.

His best season came in 2015 when he started nine games and finished with a career-high 698 yards rushing. He has started just two games over the past two seasons since Houston added Lamar Miller as its featured back.

Also on Monday, the Texans released tight ends Zach Conque and Ryan Malleck, cornerback Bryce Jones and linebacker Gimel President.
