LAYTON — A motorcyclist was airlifted to University Hospital after a crash with a vehicle Sunday night, officials report.
The crash happened near the intersection of Hill Field Road and Main Street, according to a tweet from the Layton Fire Department sent out around 9:50.
The automobile then appeared to have careened into, and knocked over, a fuel pump at an Exxon on the corner of 855 North and Main Street.
The motorcyclist, who officials only identified as an adult, was flown to the hospital in serious to critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle was treated and released at the scene, officials confirmed.
Hill Field Road was temporarily shut down at Main Street while officials worked to clear the scene.
Additional information about what caused the collision was not immediately available.
