ATHENS, Greece (AP) — Greek police say they have arrested two Pakistani teenagers on suspicion of robbing tourists and passers-by at knifepoint near Greece's top tourist attraction, the ancient Acropolis Hill in Athens.

The arrests announced Monday come days after six men, also of Pakistani origin, were arrested on suspicion of similar robberies in the area.

Police said the teenagers, aged 16 and 19, were arrested Wednesday evening, adding they were suspected of being part of a gang and that other members were being sought.

The two were charged with participating in a criminal organization, robbery and violating weapons laws. They had allegedly been robbing people in the area of mobile phones, jewelry and cash over the past three months. Police said the investigation into the two had resulted in two robberies being solved.
