NAPLES, Italy (AP) — Dries Mertens does more for Naples than just score goals for the city's soccer team.
The Napoli forward has also been doing charity work, including giving pizza to the homeless, visiting children's hospitals, and collecting clothes for the less fortunate in the southern city.
The Belgium international uploaded a video of some of his acts of kindness to Twitter on Friday, saying he posted it because he "hope(s) to inspire you to do the same."
He adds: "It doesn't take a lot of effort to take action ... I would love to see you try, too."
The 30-year-old Mertens has scored 16 goals for league leader Napoli this season in Serie A.
