KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — South Carolina center A'ja Wilson won't play in the seventh-ranked Gamecocks' regular-season finale Sunday at No. 15 Tennessee because of vertigo.
The Southeastern Conference scoring leader didn't accompany the team on the trip to Knoxville. The South Carolina women's basketball program tweeted out a picture of the Gamecocks participating in pregame warmups and said they were "locked in without captain A'ja Wilson today."
This will mark the second time this season that Wilson is unavailable for a South Carolina-Tennessee game. An ankle injury prevented her from playing in an 86-70 home loss to Tennessee on Jan. 14.
Wilson, a 6-foot-5 senior, is averaging 22.9 points and 12 rebounds this season.
