Gallinat, Tripp lead Pacific over San Diego 67-55

SAN DIEGO (AP) — Roberto Gallinat scored 21 points, including eight in the final two minutes, and Jahlil Tripp added a double-double to lead Pacific over San Diego 67-55 on Thursday night.

A 7-0 run got San Diego within five, but Gallinat responded with a jumper then 6 of 10 Pacific free throws to secure the win.

Tripp scored 17 points with 11 rebounds and Miles Reynolds added 13 points for the Tigers (14-14, 9-6 West Coast Conference), who have won four of their last five.

Olin Carter III scored 16 points and Cameron Neubauer 15 for the Toreros (16-11, 7-8), who have lost four of five.

The Tigers opened the second half on a 15-3 run to lead 44-27.

Neubauer got USD off to an 18-8 start, making three 3-pointers and scoring 11 points before the Tigers rallied, getting 14 points from Tripp in the first half and leading 29-24 at the break.
