SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Dozens of firefighters had to snuff out a three-alarm fire in the middle of the night at a warehouse south of downtown Salt Lake City.

About 50 firefighters were called to the commercial structure fire after a report of "dense smoke" coming from the building at about 1:40 a.m. Thursday at 309 W. 1500 South.

Fire officials say the blaze was extinguished within about 45 minutes but roads around the scene were closed for two hours.

No one was hurt.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
