HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. (AP) — Drew McDonald's jumper with 90 seconds left proved to be the game winner as Northern Kentucky held onto a share of the Horizon League lead with a 54-52 win over Milwaukee on Thursday night.

The Norse entered the game tied with Wright State. The Raiders beat Green Bay, 68-64.

Brock Stull hit a 3 with under 11 minutes left to give the Panthers a 39-36 lead, but McDonald made three straight field goals to give the Norse a 42-39 advantage, and after Bryce Nze's layup, Tyler Sharpe hit back-to-back 3s to make it 48-41.

McDonald answered a Bryce Barnes 3 with a jumper to give the Norse a 54-50 lead with 1:23 left. Barnes hit a jumper with 1:02 left, but they were the final points of the game.

McDonald finished with 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Northern Kentucky (18-7, 11-2). Sharpe added 12 points.

Barnes finished with 13 points to lead Milwaukee (13-14, 6-8). Jeremiah Bell added 12 and Stull 11.
