SALT LAKE CITY — Not everyone who plays high school football in Utah can go to BYU, Utah or Utah State.

Several of them, at least in the Class of 2018, found their way to Pocatello, Idaho, including former Syracuse quarterback Ty Metcalfe and Alta running back Tu'u Afu.

Idaho State signed six players from the state of Utah, leading all Division I universities not from the Beehive State as national signing day wrapped up Wednesday.

Former BYU defensive lineman Kainoa Fuiava also found his way to the Bengals during Wednesday's celebrations. The Downey, California, native played one season with the Cougars in 2017 after redshirting the 2016 season.

Here's a list of former prep products who will be playing college football away from the Wasatch Front. If you know of a player who has signed but is not on the list, email sportsbeat@ksl.com and we will update it as soon as possible.
